Just like any decent choir we’ve adopted the idea of 4. It helps us
keep things nice and tidy and gives
us some simple rules to work by.
The rule of four
The fourth framework
When creating a design a great place to start would be with the idea of four. This idea governs how we think about our grids, compositions, typography and even our radius’. This provides us with the structure to create without worrying about whether or not it’s in line with everything else.
Grid systems
Whether we’re working a square, a tall banner, a landscape image or a graph, use one of the grid approaches below to help you sort out any situation.
Think in quandrants
Think in columns

Think a grid of 4x4

Think four rows
Factors of four
Everything we do is built off of a factor of four.
This ensures that there is relationship and continuity across all of our design elements, from corner radius’ to type scales.
